There are now more than 7,100 active cases of COVID-19 across Melbourne, and over 490 in regional areas.
Victoria's Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng says authorities are looking closely at possible Stage Four restrictions for Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo following a significant increase in cases.
