Homemade candy buttons are the cutest retro treat that you may have forgotten about. You also might not have known that you can make those candy dots on a paper roll at home. But in fact it’s easy to recreate this classic colorful candy! Make a batch of these homemade candy buttons for a special event or even just a fun weekend activity with your kids. Everyone will love the throwback, and the candies themselves are the sweet treat that you didn’t know you’ve been craving.

From the Chef: I loved eating candy buttons when I was a kid. My family used to play board games during the holidays, like Bingo and Scrabble, and whenever someone won a game, we'd get to pick a prize from my grandmother's secret stash. I'd load up on the rolls of candy buttons, which she always kept handy.
